THE OSCARS!!! the fashion/makeup i loved.......and didnt love :)

THE OSCARS CAME AND WENT!!!

well, as you all know i love fashion.....i really really love fashion, and obviously makeup....everyone has some sort of passion in life and this is mine. I think you can express yourself through the clothing you wear and also with your makeup.....there are places where you dont need to make an effort and also places you really need to put a lot of energy into your appearance....one of those places would be THE OSCARS.........one of my 'wants/wishes' in life would be to attend an Oscars ceremony....that would be so much fun, getting all dressed up/all pampered....then you walk the red carpet with all the cameras flashing....then mingle with all the 'stars'........i honestly think that would be fun (and a tad intimidating)  :)

sigh.......no i was not there....hahahaha.....but i am going to add some photos of different women that were lucky enough to attend and im going to i guess critique their outfits etc.....so to all the women out there that enjoy fashion like me......read on......(now this is purely my opinion, simply based on my own likes and dislikes, im sure a lot of you may disagree with me on some of them)


I had to start with one of my favourites, seriously i think Maggie Gyllenhaal looked amazing......I LOVE the dress, i think it was a modern yet sophisticated, beautiful coloured dress and her makeup complimented that....her eyes are stunning and those pink lips look fantastic in contrast to the blue!!
(and yes all my photos are off the today network site so they will all have that logo)






next photo is another one i thought was just beautiful......i love that Anna Kendrick has pale skin (like me) but she didnt go and spoil it by getting a fake tan done....i think her skin looks amazing and she has chosen a dress colour that goes beautifull with that
very classy, fresh makeup and nothin was over-done...i thought she looked naturally beautiful!!






Here is one i didnt really like, i think Charlize Theron is such a beautiful looking woman, but this dress looks like someone was behind her and placed their hands on her breasts.....it makes that area stand out too much so you kinda dont notice the rest of her dress!!



and i didnt really like her makeup, i mean it was nice, but didnt think her overall look was amazing....nice colour dress though!!






Next picture is of Amanda Seyfried and i thought she looked lovely, very classy and very 'Oscars'. Her makeup was beautiful and the dress looked really good on her, wasnt one of my definite favourites but she definitely looked beautiful


and once again im liking the fact that not all the women are over-tanned....



Now this one i thought was wrong on many levels
seriously i think she looks like a mild porn star......there is a bit of a 'rule' with clothing that if you want to draw attention to cleavage then dont do the same with the legs and vice-versa......another words dont over-do all the bare skin......too much breats in this dress, and in other pictures i have seen that split actually goes up even higher......nice colour though and her face looks nice, her skin looks really fresh!!! but yeah, a BIG NO from me.....not that she cares....hahahahahahahaha



Sandra Bullock is probably my favourite actress of all time!!! i love her, love her movies and just really think she would be a lovely person in real life........



a few people have judged this look a little negatively, they say her hair looks too 'librarian' and straight and her dress looks too 'Oscars' but i actually disagree, i think she looks stunning....her dress is beautiful, oh so classy, her makeup looks fantastic and i actually like her hair, i think it compliments her whole look......I LOVE the fact she won an Oscar and i think she really looked like an Oscar worthy woman!!




This next look was another contoversial look, and at first i wasnt really sure about it, but the more i look at the pictures, the more i Love the dress....This is Nichole Richie....


I think she looks beautiful....i love the length with the train, the sleeves look awesome on her and the pattern is pretty cool, i also really like her makeup, her eyes standout and the colours her makeup artist has used really go well with the dress!! the back of the dress is really low and open which i also loved, big thumbs up from me!!!!



Now, Cameron Diaz.....she always looks great i think


I love the dress colour against her skin and her hair looks beautiful....great makeup as well!!! love the lips!!




Next is Jennifer Lopez, in an unusual style dress, she definitely took risks


i think she looks very nice and elegant, and i love the top half of the dress, im just not too sure about the big tuft of material coming out from her hip, maybe its just the angle of this picture but just dont like that part....apart from that she looks gorgeous to me!!!



Now, Zoe Saldana from Avatar....she looks amazing!!!!


i once again dont like the bottom, its way too ruffly for me, or like a big sponge cake sculpture of a doll....but the colours look beautiful on her and her makeup is just flawless



 

Kristen Stewart from Twilight fame....she has her own sort of punk/goth style sometimes with her outfit choices, and that look suits her! take a look at the dress below.......

I think she looks great for her age....she has porcelin skin and simple hair......and she does look a bit "twilightish" i just think she need jewellery....either statement earrings or a statement necklace....not both.....but just something, she looks a bit bare for me!!



Now, Demi Moore


I really do love this dress.....this is a 'me' dress....i think she looks stunning, the only thing i dont like is how the colour of her dress blends in with her skin.....but i really do love her hair, makeup and dress.....the style of it is stunning....love the bottom!!




This next lady i actually dont know who she is.....Vera Farmiga is her name!

apparently she is from that George Cloony movie 'up in the air' not to be confused with that cute animated movie 'UP' hahaha.........
I LOVE the colour of this dress and i thought she was very brave to wear this style...it is defiinitly a bit over the top for me, too much going on, but i still think she looks stunning....her skin looks porcelin and her makeup and hair is soft and pretty....so even though i dont really like the dress style, i think this lady is brave and the colour is awesome!!!




and now for Miley Cyrus and her Mumma....


I think Miley looks way nicer than her mum....i think her mum looks over cooked and that takes all the attention ... all i see is that tanned skin and blonde hair....just dont think she looks nice...and maybe her tan is natural, im not sure, but i dont like it when women start to look like cooked chickens as they get older........but Miley on the other hand i think looks great, she looks young and fresh and not too overdone....i think she won over her mum here.....




Sarah Jessica Parker has had awesome reviews for this dress

i think its pretty...but i dont like it....i dont like that band going around her neck, i do think the front of the dress looks nice, its just not my taste...but i do like her hair and makeup....i think overall she looks fresh and stunning, i just dont particularly like this dress choice, pretty colour on her though!!!




Rachel McAdams


Pretty dress, pretty hair, pretty makeup....she looks very pretty.....lol....not my favourite dress but she looks beautiful all the same!





Penelope Cruz...


her hair/makeup and earrings are beautiful and i love the colour of the dress.....the dress itself is a little bit too much of a sack/paper bag look to me....but i think it suits her, the top half of the dress i really do love though, and as i said...i LOVE the colour!!!



Kate Winslet

Her hair and makeup are just gorgeous...and i really like the necklace....the colour of her dress is beautiful on her...i just dont like the idea of the skirt and corset top...but she always looks stunning




Elizabeth Banks

Just gorgeous....overall beautiful look......once again im loving seeing pale skin have a bit of a comeback....the colour is pretty on her and the little headband looks nice in her hair....very pretty!!




Molly Ringwald....another one i actually dont know who she is......

I dont actually like this dress....but im loving her skin, hair colour and dress colour...its a beautiful combination...this is a cool skin toned lady (like me) and her hair colour goes well with purples, her makeup compliments her hair/skin tone (even though it looks like she is pulling a funny face-hahaha) and with her colouring, silver jewellery goes really well, so im loving that standout silver piece on her dress!!
she does look nice!




Sigourney Weaver


she looks really nice, like one of those Greek Goddess looks!! Red looks great on her with her skin/hair colouring, and i love the large shoulder gem detailing!! very classy!!




Queen Latifa


She looks great, nice dress choice for her figure, great colour...sleek hair and pretty earrings!!





Mariska Hargitay

This is a really pretty dress, great colour choice!! her hair is soft and pretty and from a distance her makeup looks great. I have seen an up-close picture of her makeup and wasnt so impressed....her eyeshadow was a bit much, but it doesnt show up in this photo....so for this pic its looks great....I dont like her necklace though....not sure why...just dont..hahaha





Giulina Rancic

Very similar to the dress above......i dont like that this one looks shiny, if i had to choose between the 2, i would choose Mariska's dress.... but i do like these earrings!! her hair from here looks too boring....but her makeup looks great!!



Diane Kruger

You know what, its not something i would wear.....but she looks FANTASTIC....i really mean that....she does old hollywood really well, there is something very classy about this woman, sure there is a lot going on with this dress, but i really believe she can pull it off...and her earrings/hair/makeup are simple so her dress gets all the attention...I like!!  :)



Monique

I love this Blue.....it is such a nice colour next to her skin colour...she looks great, blue is one of my fav colours and i think this shade is gorgeous!!
sometimes i think it would be hard for larger sized women like Monique and Queen Latifa etc...to be up against some of these super slim women when it comes to dress choices etc....but i think they have done a great job and they look lovely!! just not sure about her hair!!

Helen Miren
If im correct, Helen is 65 years old!!! and how FANTASTIC does she look....her dress is beautiful....makeup/hair/jewellery look outstanding....i really hope i age gracefully like her!!

last 3 days (sat, sun, mon)

Well, i feel like i have been a busy girl.....but not too sure what i have been busy doing :) hahaha

let me re-cap.....saturday i worked......and worked an extra 2 hours because we were so busy and under-staffed.....every woman in sydney must have been shopping that day!!!

this is the bus stop where i catch my bus :)


as you can see it was a little overcast sat morning....this was about 9am

OH....funny story!!! right across the road from the bus stop is this block of units


and the unit on the top right (where that balcony on top is).....well this hilarious woman lives up there....she is so funny....she blast music...i mean blasts so you can literally hear every word from miles away....and she dances.....and yells out at anyone going past, like abuses them......OH MY GOSH THIS LADY CRACKS ME UP......hahahaha, she normally does it of a night, she must tire herslef out so sleeps all day or something...hahahaha....i feel so sorry for the neighbours....i would move out.....i mean Emmanuel and i have been past there on a few occasions late at night and she is still going for it....i wave to her to get her going, she just sings so loud...hahaha


then after work, later that night we decided to go out for dinner with our Italian friend Allesandro. feels like dejavu....cause we only just did that last saturday night..lol....but this time we went to Parramatta to a restuarant on church street, which is basically a street of restuarants and cafes.



this is what Emmanuel and i ordered....i wasnt very hungry because i had a late lunch so we shared.......those big white blobs are Ricotta cheese :)

so that was my saturday....

sunday was the usual.....Emmanuel and i went to church at Hillsong.....we love going there together on sunday mornings.....

this was out the back of church, well a small section.....some of the people from the service before us were having a BBQ under those umbrellas, and there is the jumping castle for the kiddies and there's a sandpit etc nearby.....i wanted to go join in :)

then we hung out at the Parramatta westfield shopping centre after that and went on the internet to look for rental properties, because we have to move house (Grrrrr...........i dont want to)

and then monday was basically work and Emmanuel had basketball that night!!

so there is a quick update....pretty boring :) lol

will write something more interesting soon

About me...

I’m a passionate makeup artist that loves to pass on any tips and tricks of the trade, and industry secrets. I like to try out all different brands cause you never know what new makeup line is out there.

I’m 24 years old and married to my best friend. I’m a bubbly/friendly woman who loves life and is a ‘true-blue Aussie’....yep I’m Australian

I love God and my family, I love makeup and fashion, I’m passionate about nutrition and eating well, and I think exercise is important for the mind and body. I love chocolate. Elephants are my favourite animal, I love to dance, I am passionate about drinking water, I think cosmopolitan hair and beauty mag is the best, I love to travel, I love sunsets and sunrise, I think summer is the best season but I also think winter is cozy, I love beaches, I love to watch movies whilst snuggled up on the couch.

 I believe it’s important to tell the people you love that you do and to hug often, I believe in stepping out of your comfort zone and facing your fears, I love soy milk, I love to shop, I believe in dreaming big; if your dream isn’t hard it’s not big enough, I love oranges, I believe in the power of forgiveness, I believe the best medicine for when someone is against you is to pray for them, it may not change them but it’s amazing what it can do for your heart! I love hanging out with my friends.

I think it’s important to help those less fortunate. I believe my name will appear in New York City one day, I believe confidence can sometimes be the key to success, if you don’t feel it fake it! I believe in controlling our thoughts; negative thinking produce negative outcomes! I like to respect my elders and treasure children. I love the innocence and imagination a child holds. I believe in keeping your innocence as long as possible. I love summer BBQ’s, I believe in seeing other countries/cultures and how people on the other side of the world live. I think I can be selfish and strong headed but I am also compassionate and caring. I love blue and purple, and I love weetbix with fruit and yoghurt........

Friday!!

I woke up 2day feeling a bit flat, i do think its the weather :)   (not saying you should let the weather determine your moods, i just think sometimes it does have an effect)

today is a little overcast, then sunny......then overcast etc....

all weekend the forecast says rain and storms :) looks like summer is gone!! im kind of looking forward to
winter, but i really love summer, so give me a month or 2 and i will want summer back!!

I dont have any work 2day so i was trying to work out what i wanted to do because i didnt really have any plans! catch a bus and go to the Parramatta shopping centre.....catch a train and head into the city.....or stay home!!

In th end i decided to cook :)  not something i really enjoy, doesnt really come natural to me......but i wanted to make a big lasagne so that i could divide it up and freeze some for Emmanuel for work.....just to save a bit of money on food......sometimes he buys lunch, but man it adds up!!

so.............I have just finished making lasagne.....right now it is in the oven....place smells like food.....i have opened all the windows to let some cool fresh air in......


actually looking at it now it doesnt look too appealing :) thats part of my lasagne...


I have blasted the radio and im having a nice lazy day at home!!!


I also got really excited because when i checked the mail, something had arrived for me!!
I am very excited about this....let me explain :)

when i moved to sydney i finally found a magazine i really really like.....its all about Hair and Beauty.......Its by Cosmopolitan but its not their normal cosmo mag, this is one is purely beauty....hair/makeup etc.....and i LOVE it.....problem is it doesnt come out very often....im still not entirely sure but i think it comes out once a year :( so when i do get one im very excited............anyway i have 2 of them...issue 7 and 8.....and because i dont think issue 9 comes out till mid-end this year...i looked into getting back orders...i found a site where i could get issue 4, 5 and 6....i cant seem to find 1, 2 and 3.....but at least i can get a few more.....

so this is mag number 4......now i will eventually order number 5 and 6

seriously its a great mag, there is so much inof on hair, makeup and beauty in general and i just love to sit down with a good mag spec on a day like 2day!!

seeings im having a day at home i decided to make it a bit of a pamper day......look after skin, hair and read my new mag....just quickly before i go do all that, i want to share a couple quick tips

These are my personal tips im not saying its definitely the best thing ever, but they work for me!!

Firstly if you want the best skin and health in general....my number one tip that i nag everyone about is........

WATER

not the best picture.....but you get the idea....this is a 1.5Litre bottle that i fill up in the morning and my goal is to at least drink 2 of them a day which i pretty much do, sometimes i drink more.....my best tip for anyone who doesnt really like water.....is to start of trying to drink 750ml a day, carry that small bottle in your handbag and maybe do that for 1 week.....then go up to 1litre a day etc etc untill your drinking 2-3 litres a day..i promise your body gets used to it and eventually you actually kinda crave it! its so good for you and your skin will benefit in ways you cant imagine!! yes you may pee a bit more, but its worth it..haha

next tip for skin is.....

AVOCADO


i cut it so i could use it and show you what exactly i do and take a photo, but it was too hard and not ripe yet....so i will post a photo when it ripens....but basically i get a very small amount and mash it in a bowl....i make sure i have a clean face and i literally rub it all over my face.....till i look like SHREK :)
i know it sounds weird but the natural oils in the avocado are so good for your skin, i put it on and eventually it sets like a mask, you can leave it on for as long as you want...i nomally leave it for an hour or so.....then i just rinse it off with water, rubbing water in as i rinse.....then when my skins clean i apply a small amount of moisturiser....trust me its good :)


Now....cleansing...i dont normally cleanse because my skin type does better without it....i normally use baby wipes to take off all my makeup...then get a face washer and soak it in warm water (NO SOAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and just cleanse my face that way....but i always moisturise after......Every now and then when im in the shower i will feel like a good face cleanse so this is when i use the best cleanser ever....CETAPHYL. One mistake women make with cleansers is they get ones that have AHA's in them....these are Alpha Hydroxy Acids...(think i spelt that right) basically its a type of acid that is not good on your skin so if you are are washing your face everyday in this stuff you are prob doing more damage than good....always check the ingredients list and if it has this present, i would suggest you change...also a lot of face scrubs have them....so this cleanser CETAPHYL is a really good one because it has no AHA's and it cleanses really well....i would suggest it to anyone...plus Australia's top makeup artist-Rae Morris also suggests it :)


its cheap too...should be able to get it from Target or Kmart or maybe even the supermarket!



For hair, i would suggest the  Kerastase range...its brilliant stuff......i dont have a specific shampoo that i love, i just change each time the bottle finishes...but im very fussy about the conditioner...i used to have blonde hair that ended up snapping and going so dry and i lost ALL my curl.....so i chopped it off, went dark and started to take real good care of it! the picture below shows a container that is cream with an orange lid, its actually a treatment...its brilliant...i use the one for thick hair and number 3 which is for very dry hair....
basically i shampoo my hair twice (1st wash brings dirt to the surface, 2nd washes all the dirt off...you follow this and it will stay clean for longer, you wont have to wash it so often!!) then instead of using a conditioner, i use the treatment as one....i leave it in for about 5 mins then wash it out....i then scrunch a very small amount in my wet hair and leave it in, i can get away with it because i have curly hair!!! promise if you want helathier hair to try this stuff!!! Since going darker, shorter and using these product my hair has been fantastic...so much healthier!!

Well....its now raining.....Lasagne is all done and out of the oven....im going to go do the dishes, have a shower and wash my hair and then read my new mag....so im now leaving you all :)

Everybody's free to wear sunscreen :) read on.....

The words originally came from a lady called Mary Schmich in 1997 who wrote a column imagining what advice she would give to graduates at a graduation ceremony, which was later turned into a song (if you can call it that, i dont really like it, but love the words)
i had never heard of this before, i just stumbled across the words and thought they were great, thought i would share them with you!!

this is how it goes....................


 

Ladies and gentlemen of the class of '97:

Wear sunscreen.

If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it. The long-term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists, whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience. I will dispense this advice now.


Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth. Oh, never mind. You will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they've faded. But trust me, in 20 years, you'll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can't grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked. You are not as fat as you imagine.


Don't worry about the future. Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind, the kind that blindside you at 4 p.m. on some idle Tuesday.

Do one thing every day that scares you.

Sing.

WARNING.......this one's kinda long :)

EVER COMPARED YOURSELF TO ANYONE......AND NOT MEASURED UP??


I reckon nearly every man/woman/child has at some point compared themselves to another. Whether it was when you were young and you thought a girl in your class had prettier hair than you. Or a boy compares his muscles to another stronger looking boy. A grown man compares his job/pay check to another.............but i really think the most commen is when women (of any age; teenagers, young adults, mothers, single women etc etc...) compare their WEIGHT, FACE, SKIN, HAIR AND COMPLETE OUTWARD APPEARANCE TO ANY OTHER WOMAN



Some women do it in a way of saying "oh my gosh im so glad i dont look like her", "man look at that fat........, thank God i dont have her body" "eww she's got bad skin, why doesnt she do something about it, i mean they have creams for that these days" "you know ive had babies too, but at least i did something about my wieght, she's just obviously a lazy so and so.........
and the list goes on and on and on.......im sure we have all, wether verbal or just in our heads made some nasty or not so good comment about someone before, maybe not to the extreme of the comments above, but we (me included) are all guilty

why do people do this??? it normally comes from insecurity, wether we realise it or not, we do it as a way of thinking "you know what, im not that bad....i mean i have nicer hair than that girl on the bus, my body is better than that girl i just walked past, my skin doesnt really get spots etc etc, it kinda makes you feel better about yourself and when you look around you stack up ok!!! IS THIS HEALTHY??????

another way women compare themseleves is kinda the opposite....
"oh man that girl is so pretty, i wish i looked like her" "that girl is the most popluar girl at school, all the guys adore her, if only i had her figure" "why did i have to be born ugly, why cant i look like a super model?" "man i work out so hard at the gym, eat really well but i feel like im getting no-where, my best friend is so toned and looks great but she east junk all the time, its just not fair"

some of these comments are harmless and kinda funny but you get the idea.....at different times in life we have compared ourselves to someone else and just not measured up!!!! why do we do this then when the result is only feeling down on ourselves, upset or even depressed!!!

It is so commen these days its almost as if its normal to do it, but if you are happy and confident with the way you are you must be faking it, or lying, or there is just something wrong with you!!!!

Can anyone see how twisted and backwards this is?!?!?!?!?

now, im not saying we should all go around bragging about ourselves...ever seen a beautiful looking girl/woman and then all of a sudden she opens her mouth and she doesnt look so good anymore!!! im sure you know what i mean :)

But i do think its time for a change.......im serious.......the way we are, is the way we are.....there are things we can do to improve ourselves which i think is important (if we are overweight and unhealthy, look after ourselves,do what it takes to lose some weight....if we dont take care of our bodies no-one will! dont get all skinny and put unrealistic goals on ourseleves, just eat well, exercise etc etc......we can look after our hair and skin, drink lots of water, do little things like paint our nails every now and then, do something different with our makeup......just girlie things that can be so simple but can make a huge difference)
but apart from that, there are things we cant control, like our height, our skin colour or tone, the thickness or thinness of our hair, our nose, ears, eyes, feet, legs etc etc......those things there is not a lot we can do about!!!






so when you really think about it, we have 2 options

1) dislike these things we have no control over, notice them all the time, dwell on them, get down about them, think about how we wish we were different, compare to others and wish we could swap nose, face etc......and do this FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES

OR

2) realise we dont particulary like these features, dont be false about it and just pretend we are ok with whatever it is......BUT JUST ACCEPT IT!!! think about all the good things we have and dont dwell on those we dont!! Sure this wont be fixed in one day....its prob a daily thing for some people, because a life time of negative thinking cant be changed over night.....but it will get easier and eventually those things wont seem so bad after all......and instead of having a life time of hiding certain features and disliking ourselves.....we can have a lifetime of confidence, boldness and lots more happiness.........and whats changed??? only OUR MINDSET!!

NOW what would you prefer??? 1 or 2???? what seriously sounds more appealing??? 2 OF COURSE!!

STOP disliking ourseleves
STOP comparing ourselves
STOP being negative
STOP wishing we were someone else


START loving who we are
START being confident in who God made us
START thinking positive thoughts about ourselves and see how infectious it is
START looking at how blessed we are
START accepting ourselevs, flaws and all
START holding our heads up and walking tall (even if we are short)
START loking people in the eye when we talk with complete confidence
START facing our fears and beleiving in oursleves
START TODAY



these mite sound like some inspirational crap............but its not.....too many women are down on themselevs and they pass it on to their daughters/friends/mothers etc.....enough is enough



What made me write this??? i was just thinking............back to when i was 16 and was diagnosed with POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN DISEASE......a condition that is extrememly commen in women. Before then i had never heard of it. I was a confident 16 year old girl, i had a nice figure, slim build, nice hair, skin etc.....i was fairly happy with who i was (as happy as a teenager could be) then i got the diagnosis..............just before then i started to notice my body changing.....not in a normal "girl turning into woman way" but i was getting acne, putting on wight really easy, wasnt getting a period, my body was just all over the place........... i acutally over the next couple of years had a choice.......to just say oh well this is what ive got, thats too bad....and just go with it.......or say man this really does suck, in fact it sucks hard but im not gonna let it take over my body.,....this body was given to me by God and it wasnt made to have these problems (i was basically told by a doctor i was going to continue to just put on weight, most women with this turn obese,  probably will have trouble falling pregnant and its something i will have for life)

so yes i accepted the fact that i didnt like it, but i COULD do something about it!! i continued to put on weight and really battled for years with how i really didnt have much control anymore......but i fought on, i went thru a period of real trial and error (from age of 16-22) I exercised so much, got fit and strong, ate well, drank lots of water and just fought and fought and fought.......it felt like i was going nowhere.....but I WOULD NOT GIVE IN.......and you know what, it started to turn around (yes i was on the pill and medication called Metformin, so that helped too) but at age 22 my body started to change, because i believe that if you do something for long enough, you can adjust and it becomes 2nd nature


I beleieve its the same with our minds, if we do something for long enough......we do it without realising!!
think positive about ourselves and we will start to believe it, and SO WILL EVERYONE AROUND YOU!!


there are women i know who are far from perfect looking but they are content in who they are. They walk with confidence and a sense of pride and its almost like they demand that from everyone around them (in a good way) wherever they go they get respect frome people!!

I dont like my toes....serisouly ask my family...hahaha....i had ingrown toenail problems from my childhood (thanks to dad) and they really arnt very feminie looking toes.....but you know what, i do like my hair....i was blessed with thick curly hair (also thanks to dad)       :)

One of my ears is slightly different to the other and it used to really annoy me and used to wish i could change it, but i cant.....and you know what im happy with my figure and am at a healthy wieght range.....so a slight imperfection with my ears really doesnt mean much............and the list goes on and on....think you know what I mean

so IM CHALLENGING ALL WOMEN

TODAY IS OUR DAY OF CHANGE!!
and tomorrow, and the next day and the day after then.....

i dont feel very well :(

yes its tuesday march 2nd......its a it of an overcast, dreary day.....bit cold and windy.... but lucky me I have the day off work.....thankfully!!

cause i was sooo tired, i tried to get outta bed at 8am, and struggled!!!

plus think im getting the flu or something......hope not!!!

i blame the cold weather yesterday and the fact i was in the freezing city with no jacket.................PLUS that sick woman on the train.....gross, prob got all her germs!!!! hope she is all snuggled up in a warm bed somewhere getting better!!

plus.....this morning i found out we have to move house, because the landlord wants to move back in!! we have only been at this address for 6months, and now it looks like we are moving again......i was a bit upset cause i really like where we are right now.......apparently we only have 2 weeks to find somewhere and move out.....which is a bit unrealistic so the real estate said dont rush cause they understand thats a bit hard, so take our time and they are going to help us!!
thats one plus!!

so there i was feeling all sorry for myself, not well and the idea of moving etc.............so what did i do????

I got up and cleaned :)

hahaha, i washed the dishes......did some towell washing......cleaned the bathroom, vacuumed the floors etc etc...........cleaning somehow clears my head!!! dont know why!!

this isnt even my vacuum cleaner.....i borrowed it form my mother in-law cause we dont have one at the moment :)

now i feel a little better......im sitting on the couch with my laptop sitting on my lap!!


Im just going to rest today so that i can knock this whatever it is ive got before it gets worse!!

........a warm shower right now mite just do the trick

My monday......

Hmmmm.......................my day 2day.....well i worked till 4pm (thats sportsgirl for those that dont know)......so yeah work work work till 4pm...i then put on some makeup and pair of heels and caught a train into the city because i had an interview with Mecca Cosmetica

when i got into the city i was FREEZING. Its the 1st day of Autumn and it serisouly felt like there is some dial in the world where every new season someone sits there and turns the dial......because we went from beautiful summer weather....and now 2day was overcast, freezing....and when i finally got off that train in the city it was raining!!!

I was wearing a dress, no jacket, no umbrella and was all dolled up for an interview :) the joys of putting a hanbag on ur head and running in your heels through rain in a big city :) hahaha

anyways the interview was for a makeup position and it was a group interview.....so when i got there, there was about 25-30 girls that all looked glamourous waiting outside the door so i joined the line and waited....about 5mins later the door opened. there were 3 interviewers and one by one we were assigned a lady to talk to. Basically you spoke to the lady  for about 2mins, then it was all done....go home :) no joke.....they just asked a couple questions then it was done......so lets hope that in those 2 mins i somehow impressed them and my face is stuck in her head :) lol

i then went back to Town Hall station and caught the 40min train home.......on the way home i was stuck near a woman who sounded like she had the worst flu....she was non-stop coughing......so im hoping i havnt caught anything off her!!! seriously she sounded bad!

when i got home i was so hungry........and i found jelly in the fridge that i had made the day b4....yummy raspberry jelly :)


yes Emmanuel caught me trying to eat jelly for dinner :)





hehehe, it was yummy :)


then i started posing :) hehe, so mum, ella and kelly can see my dress :)




took my heels off though cause my feet had blisters from walking in them too long!!


so yes, i got home about 7:45pm......quickly grabbed something to eat and watched part of the biggest loser elimination because that is my fav show......love love love watching peoples lives being transformed and their negative thinking changing over time to where they finally believe in themselves and have more confidence in who they are as a person.......and the weight just starts to come off them!!! i applaud them!! ask Emmanuel, i really hate missing this show!!!

But.........i promised last week that this mon nite i would go watch his team play basketball! they play every mon nite at different times, ranging from between 7-10pm!

I havnt been last couple weeks......because......well........i was kinda watching The Biggest Loser :) hahahaha
so last week i said that march 1st will be the day i come and watch him




so at 8:10pm we got in the car for our 30min drive to the bball courts....chatting away, which eventually turned into Emmanuel putting in some old cd of his of some Italian singer :) he gets very patriotich.....so funny.....blasts this Italian music and sings at the top of his lungs while doing different hand movements!!! A few times i had to remind him he is driving so hands on the wheel would be much appreciated!!!  :)


so we arrive at the courts in time for his game at 8:45pm.......




ONLY TO BE TOLD HE DIDNT READ HIS TEXT MESSAGE PROPERLY AND HIS GAME ACTUALLY STARTS AT 9:45PM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


hehehehehe.........all i could think of was missing out on watching the biggest loser!! there was no point going home because it would take an hour to get there and back again......so i watched some random teams for 1 hour.......then my hubbys team for one hour!!! YES im a dedicated wife!!!

but yay they won!! they got 59 points and the other team 35!!
Emmanuel scored 10 points!

so by this time it was about 10:45, we got home about 11:15.....lets just say it was a long day and we were both tired. (spec Emmanuel, he gets up for work at 4:30am 6-days a week....love my hard working hubby)


So there you have my MONDAY MARCH 1ST 2010


had a great day.....just a little tiring!!
