Sigma makeup brushes rock!!!

Sigma Brushes

I came across these brushes...well this brand for that matter, on youtube makeup tutorials!! I heard great reviews about them and heard that they were M.A.C comparable.....so for months and months and months i have been looking at their website

and been thinking about purchasing some of their brushes....as i really really needed some new ones!!

so after saving up and planning....i got them :)

i was so so excited when they arrived in the mail!! im always a little funny about purchasing over the internet...and also knowing they had to come from the U.S,  i was a little worried about the post etc...

but they only took 1 week to get to me and they were packaged really well!!!

how pretty did it look....they had it packed with cool information leaflets and washing instructions for the brushes....

this explained how to use each brush i purchased in my kit

it came in a really soft brush roll, that way they are protected and easty to transport around!!

so here is the 'complete' brush set i purchased....i have used some of the brushes in this pic...hence some of them look a tad dirty :)

this came with 12 brushes and the brush roll....

but i also got 3 extra brushes..

I got this flat top synthetic kabuki...for flawless makeup application...its like a buffer, can be used for powder or liquid (havnt tried it yet....will let you know how it goes)

this extra brush came for free....which is a travel sized blending brush

the 3rd extra brush i got was a lip brush....i LOVE this one, its fantastic!!!

so here it is all together....and the 3 extra brushes have there own spot on the left!!!
im really loveing this kit!!

one of my favourite brushes is this duo fibre brush that gives an airbrush appearance when used to apply foundation....yes its dirty cause i use it everyday!!

and this AWESOME angled/contour brush.....i use this to contour my cheeks and to apply blush!! its very soft and the bristles are made from natural hair!

Im a very happy girl now i have my new brushes!!! i would definitely recommend this company...they are professional and have good quality brushes...great packaging and fast postage!!! i mean 1 week from the U.S to Australia...cant beat that!! i made my payment using paypal that way i was protected in case something went wrong!!

just remember the prices are in U.S dollars!!

Im loving my brushes and cant wait until they bring back their eyeshadow section, cause i will definitly purchase some of them and do a reveiw for you!!!

Blue Eyeshadow :)

Blue Eyeshadow....many ladies would quiver when they even think about attempting to apply the dreaded blue on their eyes!!! but im here to show you how you can actually make it work!!

sorry all the photos are of me, i wore it to work yday so i took some photos before i washed it all off....its also harder to show it on me cause i have such deep set eyes so you can only really see it when i look down....so yes, most of the photos im looking down :) lol

here im wearing a combination of 2 blue eyeshadows and a very light white golden colour in the inner part just to open up my deep set eyes a bit!!

firstly a few tips....if you're thinking of taking the plunge (go for it!!!!!)

1.Pair the blue with a neutral color such as brown, tan, or even gray- the neutral will offset the brightness of the blue

(your prob cant tell in the picture but i have blended the edges of the blue eyeshadow with a very soft grey)

2.Use blue in moderation- keep it to just the lid, under the lower lashline, or as an accent in the outer V

3.Choose your blues wisely. If you feel the color is too bright, go for a deeper blue to replace your everyday brown or black.

(i have used a dark blue...as apposed to a fluro blue!!) :)

4.If you use a brighter blue, use a matte finish as the frosty or glittery finish makes the blue almost too much to handle

5.Blues look good on everyone, but are especially good for brown eyed girls as it makes the brown eyes pop!

BUT....i have blue eyes and even us blue eyed girls can pull of blue eyeshadow!!!

NOW...the next couple of photos i have taken in full light rather than a dark room so you can see my skin a bit better....because i have trialed the Armani luminous silk foundation....and i LOVE it....im using it in a 4.5 shade and seriously its so beautiful!!

it feels like silk when you apply it and a little bit goes a loooooong way!!

see how my skin looks like its glowing....it really gives a radiance to the skin

all i have on is a mouisturiser that i put on at about 6:30am (this photo was taken at about 8:30pm that night)....and the Armani foundation on top with a little bit of blush....i havnt mixed the foundation with anything....and i havnt put any powders on top so i can show you how nice it really is!!

now i understand why i have sold it to Jodi Gordan and Kate Ritchie :)
even the 'stars' are using it!!

now my ladies....go and try some blue eyeshadow....and dont be scared when you first put it on....yes you will loook like you have been punched in the eye....but perservere!!! blending is key!! plus out on some eyeliner and mascara and it makes a HUGE difference!!

Love Always
your blue bird

Christina Hendricks-woman of the moment!

I have never actually seen this woman acting in anything before!! apparently she is in the tv series Mad Men, and i have heard she is fantastic....but as i said, i havnt actually seen her acting ....i noticed her due to her stunning looks, vibrant hair, gorgeous outfits.....and well....how can you not notice her massive breasts :) lol....

so this post is all about her, cause so far i think she is pretty amazing!! I also love the fact that she is a good role model for women as far as body image goes....she is a curvy woman, so compared with your typical size 2 famous women, she is quite a bit bigger, but still looks healthy!!! i love that!!

the lovely Emmy Rossum on the left with Christina on the right!!

I LOVE her hair....as you have probably notice in the last couple of posts, im thinking of going a similar colour :)

just a few hairstyle ideas :)

I also love her fashion sense (sometimes im kinda over seeing her massive boobs...lol....but her dresses look gorgeous on her)

she has beautfiful porcelain skin, and i love how she doesnt feel the need to go have spray tans or visit a solarium to blend in with everyone else's tanned skin, instead she stays natural and obviously protects her skin from the sun!! she stands out for being so pale, but in a good way!!

she has a real screen siren look about her....reminds me of a red haired Marilyn Monroe!!

So....here is some of her bio...

Christina Hendricks (born May 3, 1975) is an American actress best known for her role as Joan Holloway in the  television series Mad Men, and as Saffron in a short-lived series Firefly. Hendricks was named "the sexiest woman in the world" in 2010 in a poll of female readers taken by Esquire magazine.

Hendricks was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho. She holds dual British and American nationality, as her father is British. Although she is known for her red hair and buxom physique, Hendricks is a natural blonde. She began coloring her hair red at the age of ten. In July 2010 Hendricks' hourglass figure was highlighted as a positive influence for women by UK Equalities Minister Lynne Featherstone who said "Christina Hendricks is absolutely fabulous...We need more of these role models. There is such a sensation when there is a curvy role model. It shouldn't be so unusual."

I have a feeling this lovely lady will go far in Hollywood.....and i hope to see lots more of her hairstyles and outfits :)
